Disney Day 2

Saturday morning we had to get up super early to get to O'Hana for breakfast!  When we got to the Polynesian the Avengers monorail was parked there.  Isn't it neat?
We walked in and up the stairs (I LOVE the Polynesian hotel!)  I would stay there with NO Kids and no plans to go to parks and just be by the pool the whole time.

Greg was working.  OK I might have been too :)
Workaholics, perfect for each other!

I may or may not have had over a dozen pieces of bacon.
It was a "family style" buffet.

Our first character was Lilo!  She was sweet.  Shocker I am taller than her.

I made Greg take his pictures too he was SO embarrassed.

Stich was next.  Possibly my favorite picture of the day.  He squeezed me so tight he knocked the glasses off my head!

Stich wanted Greg to pose with his arms crossed.  Greg took a while to get it.

Next up was Mickey Mouse!!

And Pluto

We scurried over to the Magic Kingdom because I have NEVER been there early enough to see all the characters open the park on the train.  It was SO cool we will be sure to do that with Macy when we go next week.

There's Mickey!

We headed straight to Space Mountain so I could ride it.  It was SO scary!!  It has been a while, riding in the dark freaked me out!!

Next we headed to the Tomorrowland Speedway.

After that we rode the Haunted Mansion, bought a christmas ornament for our tree (it's a birthday one!) and rode Pirates of the Caribbean.

It was only like 10:30 and we were patting ourselves on the back for doing everything we wanted to do so fast!

This was taken on top of the railroad platform, I like this angle for castle pictures!

We had quiet the time taking it though, we couldn't get us both in and the castle...

Next we went back to our car and drove to Animal Kingdom.  We made a reservation for the Rainforest Cafe for 1:45 and had exactly 2 hours to do what we wanted!  We headed straight to the Kilimanjaro Safaris and got a fast pass for 12:45-1:45.  We jetted to Mount Everest and waited in about a 30 minutes line to ride that.  For some reason, Greg likes Everest?

Next was DINOSAUR in DinoLand USA and back up to the Safaris.  We saw lots of Animals (spoiler alert, they have changed the format and you no longer rescue Little Red!)  Also, they play the music at a different time (they used to pretend to pick up a radio station as your first rode into the serengeti it was GORGEOUS now they play it at a different time and it doesn't have the same feel.  Sidenote, Emily thinks your shouldn't ride this while pregnant, but I think it is ok.  It is bumpy, but not to bad I don't think.  Sit in the very front seat, the back is a lot more bouncy!

Something I have never seem before, elephants playing together in the water!

We had an AWESOME lunch at Rainforest Cafe.  The food was obnoxiously LARGE proportions and so good.  We probably ate 30%.  Greg didn't even get a desert.  He should have that junk was GOOD.  We also had probably one of the best waiters we have ever had.  He sang to me and told (YELLED to the whole restaurant) that I was there for my 21st birthday.  That gave him an extra 45 in his tip! hahahaha

After that I could have gone to Hollwood Studios!  It would have been cool to go to all 4 parks in one day but Greg was NOT about to do that.  We went back to the pool and sat there for about 2 hours.  We sent this picture to my dad who text me and said "Make me jealous!"

We changed quickly and hopped on a bus to Epcot.  We had dinner reservations at Les Chefs.  It was amazing, just like it was when we were there last June for Gina's wedding!

I personally think French people are....  different?  They are very literal and serious and the ones I have met are a bit of a know it all.  Like me- so we obviously butt heads.  HAHA

They did bring me my birthday desert and I thought the candle in the strawberry was a cute touch!
It was by far the least favorite of my deserts all weekend though.  They NEED to start serving the strawberry tart in there!

Like THIS baby.  It was so yummy as usual!

An attempt at a picture with the ball

I told Greg to open his eyes.

We ended this night riding Spaceship Earth.  It's so silly but we both love it.  It used to be a nice COLD ride but now it is not cold  BOO.

Bye Bye Disney!  See you next week!

Disney Day 1

When Greg first told me about the trip I was floored he did a dining plan.  We are anti-dining plan because it can really limit you and isn't "spontaneous"  (Greg HATES making plans on vacation.  "That's not a vacation"  I can't get it across that at Disney, you have to make reservations to get into restaurants.)

Anyway, when he booked the trip the woman told him that we qualified for the "passholders discount" and could get a deluxe dining plan for $66 per person.  This is 3 sit down meals and 2 snacks per person per day.  And it was awesome.  I won't go into ALL the details but we saved about 50%.  Typically, you got an appetizer, entree and desert and could eat pretty much anything on any menu.  (only exception was if it was a big "appetizer for two" which I can understand.)

I wanted to get up super early on Friday, be at Hollywood Studios when they opened and do Toy Story, Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror.  Greg was not down with that.  I gave in (even though it WAS my birthday)  Come to find out, it's not about the time, but he REALLY REALLY SUPER HATES roller coasters.  Like, we don't talk about anymore, he gets so anxious and hates them so much.

We woke up SUPER late, like 8:30 I think??  I know, hahaha  that doesn't sound super late but I was planning on leaving at 6.  We packed up and headed to Orlando.  It wasn't a far drive, but it was enough time for us to both get some work in and I had a conference call.

We got all checked in at the POP Century resort and were on our way to Epcot!

We took the bus, and I saw this poster.  I hate that it is grainy, but I was cracking up because that guy is resting his head on Robin Roberts shoulder it is just such an awkward photo?!?

I REALLY was missing Macy and could hear her saying "I SEE THE BIG BALL!!!"

We had a little time to kill before our 1:30 reservation at Coral Reef.  We went straight to Soarin and a sweet couple gave us their fast passes they weren't using!  It wasn't until 12:45-1:45 time slot though so we rode one of Greg and I's favorites, Living with the Land (we are SUCH nerds!  I love seeing the plants.  HAHAHA)

WHO KNEW brussels sprouts grew this way?!  And who knew there was an "S" on the end of Brussel?

Lunch at Coral reef was good!  Greg didn't think it was worth the price, our bill was $107 for lunch! But he also got a lobster pasta dish.  They are known for their fish so I didn't feel bad for him.  I got a delicious steak!

The view is pretty amazing though.

I promise this was the only place I took pictures of the food.  I was so excited to show Sarah!
Our dishes!

Desert (YUM)

Did I mention (shocker) I don't eat seafood?

After walking out we made our way to the World Showcase.  It is the flower and garden festival there now and if you haven't been for that, GO! It is SO beautiful.

HEEEYYYY Look what I found?!  Circa May 2005.  We had been dating for 2 months.  We got engaged 2 weeks after this!

We were such skinnies.  But what does Greg have around him?  hahaha

OK that is depressing.  LOL

They had pretty little gardens everywhere and I liked this pond.

And I liked this flower it smelled so good!

We saw this crane it was just watching the fish waiting for the perfect time!

Walking around we got stopped as the lifted a HUGE bridge for the boat that holds the fireworks. It was HUGE up close!

We walked all the way around and went to Canada and had dinner at MY favorite, Le Celliar.  Ahhhh AMAZING.  Our reservation was for 7:50 and we were not seated until 8:40 but it was worth the wait and SO good.
