Kinda last minute Greg and I decided to go to Disney in January. We have annual passes so why not?! Greg was working in Valdosta which is half way- and we decided I would go down with him, work in the hotel for two days then go to Disney. I could have met him in Valdosta but I wanted to go early so I could visit with Emily and Zach!
Poor Greg had a terrible day at work- and he wasn't going to get back until pretty late. Zach was gracious enough to come pick us up at the hotel. Thank goodness they have the right car seats! Zach was cracking me up the whole ride back. He said things like "I thought you were staying at THIS hotel, someone was murdered there" he showed Macy his high school football stadium, and was super excited to see a train and was disappointed Kye missed it- he is a great dad.
Emily and Zach made us feel SO welcome. This was a different kind of visit, we didn't get to talk a WHOLE lot, but it was one of my favorite visits with them. I have said this before- they are the ONLY reason I have to go to Valdosta! When I left I kept telling Greg how much I value our friendship and that I thought they were the happiest I have ever seen them!
Now onto the children. Oh... my Macy. She is an interesting child. She was half cracking me up/half embarrassing me. She was totally helping herself to everything and had no boundaries. We don't have many play dates.
She was SO cute in Kye's hat.
Brady and Britt had a great time too!
Just kidding they are babies.
One of the funniest conversations Emily and I had was about having scheduled children. We are on totally opposite spectrum's. (Obviously she is super structured, I am not)
She said... "But how do you know when he is hungry?" I think I said he cries. LOL
When he is tired he sleeps. I don't know! I think it totally blew her mind. ;)
As the night wound down I started to internally panic. Watching the clock. I knew Kye was going to bed EARLY. Zach had already said on the car ride they would skip his bath but time was creeping on and Greg hadn't shown up yet to get us.
Emily got Kye dressed in his PJ's and Macy started taking off her clothes!! Of course- I hadn't brought PJ's with me and Emily told her i hadn't she said "Well YOU have PJ's!"
(Welcome to my life. I can't pull ANYTHING past her)
So She put on a t-shirt. She was SO happy, and it was sweet Emily understood her desire to be like Kye.
HAHA I didn't know Macy did this until saw this picture. This is SO Macy. Fake sleeping and all. She crawled up there and made herself comfortable. She kept telling Kye she was sleeping over and I don't remember what he said but the jist was "NO, you're not!" At one point he hid the pillows from her. HAHA
So, it was time to read a story (insert my panic again here, as we are now like ONE HOUR past Kye's bedtime!!!!!!!!!) It was funny I think Kye picked the longest book he had. Emily and I sat back giggling- they were just so cute together.
I took this picture with my cell phone. I think I wrote Greg and said. HURRY! He goes to bed at like 7 PM!
LOL
When we were in Disney in December I wanted to get Britt something, but had no clue what. I looked around at a lot of stuff, but Emily is hard to shop for! I know they love their Christmas ornaments and the kids have their own tree, so I thought this would be my best bet!
When she opened it I didn't think she liked it, but she posted this picture of her smiling so either she does or she is faking it for me. (Fine with me!)
We had a great visit with the most interesting people in Valdosta!!
:D
