In January we decided it was time to go to Disney again. We bought annual passes in December, so "Why not?!"
We are REALLY enjoying the passes. If you go for 10 days they pay for themselves- as my mom jokes "You can't afford not to!"
After we had a great visit with the Parker's, we left early Friday morning to head down to Disney. It was a little stressful because I have a weekly conference call at 9 AM, but it all worked out.
One of the most memorable things for me this trip was Brady and his formula. We had been switching it around, from one type of powder to another, different types of pre made, we just couldn't figure out what was best for him.
The type of formula I was used to wipes up REALLY easy off of clothes so I didn't bring him a lot of clothes. WELL, by day 2 (still in Valdosta!) he had run out. We had to buy a few things and actually I stayed up until like... 1 AM the first night we were there doing laundry. Oh well!!
So, Friday we get there and head straight for the Magic Kingdom. The Undercover Tourist App (the best I have found!) said it would be the lightest crowds, and WAS IT EVER. I have NEVER seen it like that. NEVER. It was SO NICE. I am used to wall to wall people, and long lines and being HOT and STICKY. And I STILL LOVE IT!!!!
You know, now I don't remember what we forgot, but Greg had to run back to the car and we were waiting for him. I think he left his wallet. Kinda need that! And I didn't have mine, I told him I put my license in his!
Here they are waiting....
I kinda tricked Macy into taking this picture.
(A Disney Tip, We bought Macy a "special necklace" and it has information on how to contact us! I have ALSO seen temporary tattoos that you can buy personalized, but I like this :) )
So, these days Macy FREAKS when I try to take a picture. SERIOUSLY. She has been like this for a while, which is why I haven't blogged much, she won't let me take her picture!
Happiest Place on Earth... What?!
Sometimes I say... OK well I will take a picture of brother then!
And that snaps her out of it.
Obviously that didn't work this time :)
I have never noticed you can see the castle right when you walk up, if you take the Ferry instead of the monorail. I am usually ALL about the monorail. HELLO! Air conditioning!
When we walked in they were doing a "Dreams Come True" Stage Show (I think we have it memorized by now) so that was fun to get to see. I think I dipped and got us popcorn and let Greg enjoy that :)
We decided to get Macy something to eat so we went to Pinocchio Haus in Fantasyland. It always takes FOREVER to get your food there, and I was shocked when Greg came back so fast!
Can I just say I LOVE DISNEY CHICKEN TENDERS?! Mmmmmmmmm
The crowds were so light, we walked right onto one of Macy's favorites Small World!
She has NEVER done this before, but I thought it was so cute how she pressed her cheek to mine :)
Taking a spin on the Tea Cups.
Daddy passed.
Next was FANTASMIC! Which I have not seen in a long time but I love it!
Macy thought it was "TOO LOUD!"
No surprise there.
We rode the carousel and decided to head over to the cars. We NEVER ride this ride, the lines are so long, and I think the cars smell stinky.
But, Greg was really wanting to do it, so we did. And wouldn't you know, she LOVED IT.
She wanted me to take her, so I did. It was pretty embarrassing, once it was time to get out, the next people are literally standing over you waiting for you to lug your big behind out of the tin can and I am dragging a kicking and screaming Macy who WANTS TO RIDE AGAIN! However, OVER the car noise I can hear Brady screaming.
Waaaah.
I don't know WHAT was going on, but he was just inconsolable for about 5 minutes. Hard crying. Then he passed out like a light for 15 minutes and was all good.
It was time for the fireworks! We were pretty far back on Main Street so we could make our mad dash out- I think the park closed at 9 that night.
Sweet little Brady
HAHA while we were waiting Greg ran in to get our "usual" the giant Mickey Krispy.
I literally just threw away the last ear yesterday.
How long do those stay good?? :)
You can tell... it was to loud... She has a thing about that.
We were trying to "Stay cheap" this trip so we didn't stay on property. I have to say, I'm not a fan. Call me a Disney snob, (I prefer purist!) but it doesn't have the same feel. Greg agrees with me.
Of course he does. :P JK
OK I am feeling lazy and I uploaded all these pictures together so I am not going to make this a week long thing like Emily would. (HAHA)
Day Two!
We started off the day going to Disney Jr. LIVE! on Stage which was the only thing I really wanted to do this trip. Macy loves those shows right now, and what she likes could change in 3 months!
There was this little area that all she wanted to do is... Dance, Dance!
Sing it with me....
Gee who does she look like here?
Showing me her "drivers license" from the Tomorrowland Speedway.
OH that reminds me. I have to say Macy calls things (usually small, like a play phone, a small game piece, a card, a leaf... it goes on and on ) she calls them "Little Fellas"
This trip, she wanted to keep this leaf with her EVERYWHERE and was so sad when we lost "Little Fella"
Help me.
Inside the show.
We sat on the floor.
Like tuna fish in a can.
It was awkward.
I had asked Greg to pack up Brady's bag because that morning he was nagging me all morning about taking so long, so I asked him to help me get the kids ready!
Weellllllllll.... During the show Brady starts fussing to eat, and I take him out to make him a bottle really fast. Small problem....someone didn't pack the formula.
Rrrriiiiiiiiightttttttttt.
So I am sprinting (which was an attraction all of itself) to the baby care center at the front of the park (THANK GOODNESS we were at the smallest park, it I had been anywhere else I would have made Greg breast feed him or something...)
Moving on....
Emily, remember when not even 24 hours before you said... how can you have a baby not on a schedule, how do you know when he is going to eat? And I said, that's easy, just sometimes you have to pay more if you don't anticipate how much they are going to drink and you have to run to the store and buy something. Here is an example. The $4.99 8oz can of Enfamil I had to buy.
This REALLY was not a big deal, I kinda played it up for your guys for laughs, but I really didn't care. That happens in Disney, it's like a mind warp, everything is carefree and who cares what it costs, you are having fun. We can win the lottery later. Which reminds me, I need to go buy a ticket!
This picture cracks me up. OK, we were walking by Toy Story ride, which Macy has never even seen this movie, it is TOO SCARY, along with EVERYTHING else-
But she saw this doll and asked me if she could have it, I said "Ask Daddy."
Which, I now know, Greg thinks is code for, "Buy this for her"
Because the next thing I know, they are trying to rip open the box that is built like FORT KNOX.
Who packages this stuff?!
Macy insisted this dolls name is Woody, even though we all know it is Jessie- who ironically I can't stand. So we talked her into letting us call her "Ms Woody"
This picture cracks me up. OH crap I literally just said that about the last picture. I'm running out of things... Anyway. Besides the fact Macy had some major plumbers crack going on and I was WAAAY to lazy to get up to go pull her shirt down. (I had a prime park bench, HELLO!)
After this Greg walked back and said, "I hope Macy is not into the arts, GAH that stuff is awful."
I didn't say it! Send him the hate mail please....
How cute is that?!!!!!
The dudes in their hats.
We left Hollywood Studios and headed to Epcot!
Macy took a nap in the car and was ready to see the big ball!
We headed straight for World Showcase, because that's what we wanted to do!!
We rode the ride in Mexico, which is a similar to Small World, so Macy loved it.
We stopped in Germany, a favorite of ours, to have a pretzel and sit by the fountain it was GORGEOUS outside! Macy cracked up every time the clock went off and the people ran around. What is that called?
Japan.
Drummers.
Guess what.... that was to loud!
Oh man. My love affair with Boulangerie Parisserie.
Don't even get me started!! They have AMAZING sandwiches, but I LOVE the strawberry tarts. I sent this picture to my mom and Sarah to brag....
"One for my baby, and one more for the road!"
Macy bites her nails (like her dad....argh!)
So I thought it was pretty funny that she was biting Ms Woody's nails.
Perfect Disney Sunset
Macy didn't really want to ride any rides, except for the ball, so we did that.
Greg and I wanted to do Mission: Space so we took turns.
During my turn I played with Macy outside.
She was copying another little boy who was posing like he was holding up the whole planet.

And Brady was an angel
So, while I was in line, by myself, this guy was in line behind me all by himself!
He struck up a conversation about my phone, and we literally talked for 25 minutes. Well, I mean HE was talking A LOT if you get my point. He was really nice, but I could tell he was so bored. He was there by himself! From like... Argentina? Or Brazil? And he came to Disney, all by himself for like... a week! AND the guy behind HIM was there by himself TOO. He said he left his family at home, in like... Kansas. I mean, who the heck ARE these people!?
Afterwards we headed to Mexico to ride the 3 Caballeros one more time and to have dinner, which I thought was excellent. Greg said his was OK. He was jealous of what I got. We were at La Cantina de San Angel and I had tacos de carne, which was a smoked beef brisket taco. YUM!
We picked a seat on the patio by the water and sat there to watch the fireworks! It worked out perfectly!!
We had fun Disney, see you in 2 weeks for Tripp's Birthday!!
